 Within the program of regional cooperation in Palilula Municipality, the meeting of three municipalities: Indjija, Palilula and Svoge was organized.The presidents of these municipalities Novakovic, Atanasov and the president of Assembly of Indjija Aleksandar Kovacevic, together with Milan Djurdjevic, president of Palilula Assembly, Milos Stojkovic, member of Palilula Council and Bojan Ilic, head of Municipal Administration, discussed about new project activities, border cooperation and possibilities of program exchange.

NEW CULTURAL CITY SCENE OPENED ON BUBANJ

 After several months of activities on the arrangement of the amphitheater in Memorial Park “Bubanj” in front of thousands of visitors, screening of the movie “The Harms Case”, directed by Slobodan Pesic, in this green oasis of the City of Nis, started the events in the culture.
In opening words of the President of the City Municipality of Palilula, Prof. Dr Igor Novakovic, member of Municipal Council, Boban Mikic and director of the institution Nis Cultural Center, Srdjan Savic, emphasized the great satisfaction that the memorial park “Bubanj” which is located in the Palilula Municipality, finally get facilities that will make it closer to the citizens of Nis and to the interested tourists.

PROMOTION OF SUMMER CINEMA
ON BUBANJ TONIGHT

 Summer Stage in Memorial Park “Bubanj”, tonight (Friday, August 26th, 2011) at 08:30 pm will give place to seventh art lovers. Screening of the movie “The Harms Case” directed by Slobodan Pesic, in this Memorial Park, “green oasis” of the city will start the events in culture, which were announced during the reconstruction of the amphitheater.
City Municipality of Palilula, Directorate of “46th Film Festival” and Nis Cultural Center provided the necessary conditions that the park “Bubanj”, give place to maintenance of cultural manifestations.
After part of the works on reconstruction of multifunctional Amphitheatre on Bubanj it was created possibility that part of the accompanying program of the Festival of actors` achievements be realized in this space.

FESTIVAL IS CLOSED,
NEW ALREADY STARTS

 I remember very well of Film Festival, when I was five, ten, fifteen, twenty, thirty years… I know how experience it now, when I am forty.
Regardless of age, over and over again, at the time of the Festival, I am full of excitement and nervousness. And now – as the president of the Festival Council – I work with a lot of emotions that I have as citizen of Nis for this Festival. The only difference is that when I was a child “chased” actors for autograph, and now they are going to “chase” me, because of some other things...
Film Festival are cultural phenomenon of Nis, such as, for example, Nisvill, although to lesser extent, because there is such a long tradition as a gathering of this prestigious film actors.

“SAFE HOUSE” OPENED IN PALILULA

 In the presence of management of the city, Palilula Municipality, organizations and institutions, the first regional safe house in this part of Serbia, was opened by Rasim Ljajic, Minister of Labour and Social Policy. On this occasion, Ljajic said that violence against women and children is on the rise and that the strategy to reduce violence be adopted in late September. “Since 2005th, when a record is kept, violence against children has increased by 46 percent, six and half times greater violence against adults, primarily women. Every other woman is exposed to psychological violence, physical every third and every fourth woman is threatened by violence – said Ljajic. He said 90 percent of bullies are partners and overall data on domestic violence have to worry.

 Film crew “Montevideo, God Bless You” in the shirts of the football club “BSK” and members of the organization team of the “Film Festival” gathered in the team “Yugoslavia”, on the playground of Gymnasium “Svetozar Markovic” of City Municipality of Palilula, played a football game that ended a draw – 6:6.The team of “BSK” led actors Viktor Savic and Andrej Kuzmanovic, because the rest of film crew has traveled from Nis, afther the projection of the film in the Fortress, because of business commitments. However, on the Festival from this team of director Dragan Bjelogrlic stayed and young Predrag Vasic who fought shoulder to shoulder with other members of the team against a team of “Yugoslavia”

TWO PROJECTS OF PALILULA SUPPORTED BY LEDIB PROGRAM

 In the second call for municipal development projects, LEDIB Program has supported two projects of City Municipality of Palilula: “The formation of the Project Center City Municipality of Palilula” and “Establishing a synergistic dialogue between Serbian and Bulgarian entrepreneurs / SMEs and professional organizations to develop a sustainable exchange of experience”. On this occasion, was held a press conference in the hall of Media Center Nis.
The planned activities and the importance of these projects for the Palilula Municipality spoke Prof. Dr. Igor Novakovic, president of CM Palilula and Carsten Lund, LEDIB programme Director, Boban Mikic, Municipal Coordinator of LEDIB Program and member of the Council of the CM Palilula.

OVER 1500 APPLICATIONS
OF INTERESTED CRAWLERS

 Notice to citizens who wish to participate in the census of population and households in 2011th in the capacity of enumerators, this caused a lot of interest and in the territory of City Municipality of Palilula.Between 15th and 19th of August 2011th, at the Census Commission room of City of Nis – City Municipality of Palilula, Street Branka Radicevica first application was personally signed by more than 1500 candidates.In the territory of Palilula Municipality, which is broader than 90,000 inhabitants, the earlier reference has already been approved 31 instructor enumerators. According to the rules list, to one instructor belong 8-10 enumerators, depending on the complexity of the list in the field.

FILM FESTIVAL CAN BEGIN!

 During the five festival evenings , from 20th to 25th August, will be shown 10 achievements of local cinema, and Meetings will be opened by the film “Miris kise na Balkanu” by Ljubisa Samardzic. After achievements, the audience will see first day film “Zduhac znaci avantura” by Milorad Milenkovic. The next days will be shown and films “Beli, beli svet”, “Beli lavovi”, “Montevideo Bog te video”, “Sisanje” “Neprijatelj”, “Sestre”, “Kakos u me ukrali Nemci”, “Zajedno”, “Cinema komunisto”.
At the Summer stage, in front of citizens from youth, and as he said by himself, always and everywhere man from Nis, Ljubisa Samardzic, Serbian acting bard, mark its jubilee 50 years or artistic work. Expect ours actors and actresses Festival will this year host and actor from England, Douglas Henshall , one of the main protagonists of the film “How the Germans stole me”, which will have its Serbian premiere in Nis.

INVESTMENT SUPPORT FOR DEVELOPMENT OF TOURISM AND CULTURE

 Within the CBC program Bulgaria-Serbia, IPP program, thanks to successful partnership with the Bulgarian Municipality Bobov Dol (Republic of Bulgaria), City Municipality of Palilula – Nis, in the next 18 months will realize the project entitled “Cooperation for sustainable development of cultural tourism in the municipalities of Bobov Dol and Palilula (Coul Tour). The value of the project is 581,982 Euros and City Municipality of Palilula, as p partner in the project belongs to 179,353 Euros for arranging the memorial park Bubanj and other infrastructure. Bulgarian Municipality Bobov Dol, which is lead parner on this project will work on arranging a public park area of 140 hectares.

EUROPEAN MONEY FOR ARRANGEMENT OF “BUBANJ”

 City Municipality of Palilula and Bulgarian Bobov Dol for a joint project to develop cultural tourism in their areas have received funds from the European Union more than half a million. Serbian party is entitled to 179,353 euros, while the rest of the money goes to Bobov Dol, which is the main partner on the project.
Thanks to this money will eventually be completely taken care of the memorial park “Bubanj”, execution of the Second World War in which was shot more than ten thousand patriots. Memorial Park was built and opened the 1963rd year and 1979 was declared as cultural asset of great importance. However, three fists, the work of Croatian sculptor Ivan Sabovic, because lack of maintenance are in poor condition, and this contributed and numerous of written graffiti by hooligans of Nis. Amphitheatre is completely ruined, damaged paths access, the complex was covered with garbage, a monument is in the dark because the street lighting is defective.

LOOKING FORWARD TO `NIS FILM ENCOUNTERS` 2011

 This year 46 Film encounters festival in Nis will be organized from August 20 – 25. This Festival in unique manifestation of film art that particularly values the creative acting achievements.During the Festival of art achievements there will be 10 films in official concurrence and one guest film scheduled for the final evening. Art director of this year festival is Dragan Vujic Vujke and the names of professional judges will be known before the very opening of the Festival. Traditionally film awards will be given and many Serbian actors are every year expected.

 Giving blood in cooperation with City Municipality of Palilula achieved Blood Transfusion Institute Nis, held on Friday, August 12th, from 09am-01:00pm in the hall of Local Office “Palilula”. This program takes place in the charity event “Your five minutes … someone`s whole life!”.The annual program of the Institute for Blood Transfusion in Nis is planned to provide sufficient quantities of blood and blood components through the action of voluntary blood donation. On this occasion, showed their humanity employed in the Palilula Municipality and the citizens of this organization of local self – government of the City of Nis.

The office of young of Palilula Municipality in the cooperation with the coordinator of these activities in Nis- Voluntary center and many other organizations of civil societies created the activities for young people in Nis. According to the words of Stefan Jovic coordinator of the Office for young in Palilula Municipality the programme of celebrating Day of young people in Nis will be in three areas: cultural-artistic activities, sport and fun-creative activities.

MEETING THE NEEDS OF THE PENSIONERS

 Preventive center of Nis `Health Center` in the cooperation with Palilula Municipality, organized on Wednesday August 10 2011 the activity called `Meeting pensioners`. From 8 00 hours to 11 00 hours, in the official working area of Palilula Municipality –Municipal ground floor, the team of the medical workers from this health institution examined for free the interested Palilula citizens. `Health care was in this way primary closer to the people of `third age` - the retired people in city area who were these days also receiving pensions` – said Slavoljub Savic, the associate of the head of Municipal administration and added that it had been closer to the other interested Palilula citizens.

`SAVE TODAY FOR BETTER TOMORROW`

 Academic course `Save today for better tomorrow`, in organization of BEST group Nis, realized from 20 to 23 July in cooperation with Nis University and under the sponsorship of Palilula Municipality, was successfully completed. For this occasion, Nikola Zivic, chief organizer of this course with his associate visited Palilula Municipality and gave the Certificate for appreciating for given help in organization of International summer academic course.
The aim of this educational activity was to give the basic knowledge to 25 students from various European universities and 25 students from Nis University about sustainable systems and energy efficiency in industry.

WORK BEGAN ON THE COLLECTOR

 After months of delay in the contest and collect the tender documentation today in the settlement of City Municipality of Palilula – Novo Selo began work on the construction of atmospheric collector.
Contractors, workers of Water Management Company “South Morava” ad in restructuring, which has been selected as preferred bidder for the construction of the collector in the street “Toplicki partizanski odredi” in Novo Selo, visited the President of City Municipality of Palilula, Prof. Dr Igor Novakovic and his associates. According to Novica Stankovic, Technical Director VP “Juzna Morava” and Dejan Ciric, head of the site, with Contract of building, that is signed with PE “Directorate for City Land Development” is envisaged that the works on the section of 940 meters of the street “Toplicki partizanski odredi” complete within 120 days.

HORSES STRAW AND MAIZE

 Equestrian Club “NONIUS”, which successfully works in the Gornje Medjurovo, during the first week in August, has organized an art camp that brought together students and teachers of Middle Art School in Nis and students of Academy of Arts. This year`s topic of creativity, in the ambience of the village Gornje Medjurovo was making a figure of natural materials – straw, cornstalks and other agricultural products. Under the guidance of Professor Slavko Pesic, support teachers Slavoljub Stankovic, creative skills in this “art event” showed: Jelisaveta Mitic, Jovana Nikolic, Sara Stankovic, Mirjana Stanisic, Milena Krstic, Dea Kurtic, Esko Kurtic, Vladimir Djordjevic, Dunja Ciric, Nemanja Savic, Jelana Zivkovic, Jelena Miljkovic. To the young artists, the camp participants were jointed and children from the village.
